School is out on break and the holiday season is coming to a close, so what better way to ring in the new year by going to a New Year’s Eve celebration party. There are plenty of events to take part in, so here are a few places where you can celebrate New Year’s Eve 2016 in Lubbock, TX.
Cactus Theater Concert & Ball Drop
The Cactus Theater is putting on a New Year’s Eve concert featuring Don Caldwell and Family, as well as an opening performance by Amber Pennington and Johannes Bjerregaard. Following the concert, you’ll be able to watch the Times Square Ball Drop with complimentary champagne and treats. Tickets are only $35 for the event and it will start at 8:15pm.

New Year’s Eve Gala
Kicking off at 7pm is the Overton Hotel & Conference Center’s New Year’s Eve Gala. While an expensive option at $300 per couple, the ticket includes an open bar, gourmet food and entertainment provided by the band Cover Down. A balloon drop and champagne toast will come at midnight, and you can even win door prizes with the proceeds going to the Texas Boys Ranch.
Adrenaline City Lock-In
If you’re looking for a fun and safe place to bring your children for your New Year’s Eve plans, Adrenaline City is hosting a New Year’s Eve Lock-In. The event will provide meals and snacks for kids aged 10-17, and will include access to their trampoline park, laser tag arena, basketball court and more. The event will cost $55 per child with the option to save $10 by registering online. It starts at 7pm and continues through to 6am.
The Funky Door Masquerade Party
The Funky Door Bistro & Wine Room is celebrating New Year’s Eve by throwing a masquerade party. The celebration will include their extensive wine selection along with a buffet, prizes and live music with a toast at midnight. The event starts at 7pm with a ticket price of $85 in advance or $90 at the door.
